Redesigning a photography conference website

NSC WEBSITE REDESIGN

My roles:  UX/UI Designer, Information Architect, Visual Designer

The Challenge: How might I simplify a content-heavy event website into an intuitive experience that helps the user immediately find the event information?

The Outcome: I transformed the website by rethinking the style choices and restructuring the navigation for a simpler user experience: including carousels, new typography, a vibrant color palette, and more photography. I highlighted event photography and created downloadable resources (schedules, travel guides) to streamline attendee experience. The streamlined navigation and downloadable resources allow the users to plan their experience better. The style guide and prototype enable the client to maintain a cohesive digital presence moving forward. The result is a site that informs and reflects the creativity of the Northern Short Course community.
