Creating a visual identity for a local spicy oil brand

Mamanero Habanero

  • A local vendor who hand-makes habanero oil asked me to design packaging for her jars. She had no real brand yet, just handwritten labels. After getting to know her, I learned she is a mom, a Taurus, and already sells to folks in our community.

  • I had freedom to get playful, so I leaned into her Taurus side. It fit perfectly with a hot, fierce oil. To add a more feminine touch, I brought in eyes and vibrant colors.

Since the oil is homemade and local, I built everything around a hand-drawn logo and a playful bull illustration.
